Brand creation for an arts and craft sculptor. Creating show material for store merchandisers. Website design, with specific focus on the cartoon nature of these products, and full e-commerce facility. This project is ongoing but has taken a new direction as the creator has recently moved to Australia.

I was asked to developed a website to showcase the company’s profile and help reach a wider clientele. With new projects on the go ranging from extensions to £1 million houses they need a presence that portrayed quality. The site is constantly being update or changing in the portfolio section and at the moment they are changing this.

The site has a clean and crisp feel by being white with clear navigation. This helps to enforce the high quality of the workmanship they produce. They were recently made a finalist in the Scottish Home Awards. For this I created a CD based version of the site with a flash animation gallery showcasing the plot 26 from Archerfield. This has not been added to the site yet as promoters wish to use this first. They thought it was very different and it was the first of it’s kind in this awards ceremony.

My brother being a time served qualified joiner decided to set up his own business. So I was asked to create a company brand, website and promotional material for a him.

In the village of Lauder in the Borders is a small salon and the owner is a personal friend of mine. So when I was asked to develop, maintain and supply all design material include the web (due to be updated shortly) i was honored. Over several meetings and design revisions the Body & Mind designs were set and the company had it’s brand. Many items have been produced ranging from Business Cards to Outdoor Signage. I have shown some examples below.

The development and implementation of 2 brands was required. One for the Stove side of the business, which is both an online and shop front company that sells multi-fuel, wood burning stoves across the UK. The other one was for the Café side of the business that is located in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders.

Both companies need to stand on their own feet but show links to each other as they are part of the one umbrella company. Various designs were pitched but the below imagery shows the final results.

Since developing the brands a website has been created to market and selling the stoves online. There is currently over 180 stoves for sale and they are Scotland’s only Dan Skan Stove supplier. Business is doing well in it’s first few months and over the next few online and radio advertising will be added to help generate leads.

JSJ Scotland Ltd is a joinery business that needed to improve it’s commercial position. A website and print materials were designed to meet the clients needs. This resulted in more enquiries for the company.

Designing wedding stationary to meet each client’s brief. All designs are created after several meetings to gain an idea of the relationship and future of the couple. Managing family expectations and individual family members interests makes each project exciting to work on. Be able to see pure joy on the couples face when the designs are created gives me great satisfaction knowing I have made someone’s special day that bit easier. Having recently designed my own I know how challenging it can be to get the design right. This however it lets me use this experience to make the process easier for new clients.

Creating a design that combines the invitation, reply card and map/directions into a single, unique and stylish wedding invitation was our aim. We wanted our guests to have everything they could need in one place without needing additional numerous pages of information. This was our preference and the design that evolved made this possible. It allowed us the flexibility to increase or decreasing the number of pages per guest depending on the invite they were receiving.

An Animal Health company that report/review on the industry. After a recent managemnt buyout Vetnosis need to rebrand themselves to stand on their own two feet. As this is a pharmaceutical industry company the colours used needed to represent this. The tail of the ‘v’ heading to the ‘i’ gives the impression of knowledge and understanding.

Along with the rebrand new reporting styles need to be created and implemented. Both stock and commissioned photography has been used to strengthen the brand. All of this work is complete in the public domain. More information on Vetnosis can be found at their website www.vetnosis.com.

Creation of a company logo for use on promotional material and stationary. The company is selling maintained office space. The logo represents a modern business that works both online and offline. The ‘b’ of the logo is solid in structure whilst the ‘a’ is represented by the arks surrounding the ‘b’. These arks also represent the online presence of the company.

The old site shown in the images was great but had it’s disadvantages. This new design allows greater flexibility and update options. So i will be displaying my new projects on a more regular basis. This is thefingerprint’s new logo. It was inspired by the original logo and brought into the modern age. It is now a fully functional vector image. This was one of the main reason for the change. The previous logo was an image as it was a scan of my thumb. At the time this was fine but as more advances in technology are created I needed to make sure I was up-to-date. It has been a long time in the making and I am finally happy with it.

The new logo allows for an array of vector effects and backgrounds for it to appear in. Thus increasing it’s flexibility and awareness.
