Which sectors has thefingerprint worked with as a design agency?
As a design agency, thefingerprint is proud to have collaborated with a dynamic range of businesses. Each project is unique with its own requirements in terms of the branding, web design or graphic design services offered.
After many years in the industry, we wanted to look back at the different sectors we’ve supported. You may recognise your sector, but be reassured that our team has supported many other design clients and can take your website, design and branding to the next level, even if you offer something else.
Let’s inspire you by exploring five industries we’ve had the pleasure of working with.
1. Technology industry
The technology sector is transforming the way we work and live. There is a wave of emerging brands rising to meet the challenges of the Twenty-first Century.
How we have helped our technology clients
Numerous technology companies have pressed ‘send’ when contacting thefingerprint for cutting-edge design work.

HTG Overwatch, who tackle the growing threat of cybersecurity, sought a new logo for its Security Managed Service. We ensured this standalone branding stayed consistent with the established brand whilst working hard on their new service’s logo. Comprehensive brand guidelines, press advertisements and a two-page data sheet followed.
Helping to guard personal data, Information Answers (pictured at the start of this article) is a website blog we were invited to develop following a previous collaboration. The owner, Iain Henderson, wanted a fresh layout and style that suited the content/subject. Continuing to provide website maintenance for Information Answers, this is a service that your site can also benefit from.

DataYogi is another project of Henderson’s, who requested an exciting and playful way to help people learn about managing and securing data, including product warranties. Running with his chosen bear emblem, we complemented this with a balanced font that evokes the data protection aspect of the business. This fun element proves that technology companies can showcase their sense of humour. A website soon followed.
2. Sports industry
Whether it’s enjoyed as part of a league game or just for recreation, sports teams and leisure companies can trust thefingerprint to have its finger on the pulse of creative designs.
How we have helped our sporting clients
Our web design, branding and design services have elevated many sports and leisure businesses to reach their peak performance.

We embraced Big Idea Sports’ “Team Telepathy”, the concept of mixing playful teamwork in business and sports, to produce a seamless, dual-audience, responsive and suitably modern website. Adding podcasts and valuable resources (plus services) was made possible. And effective calls-to-action and search engine optimisation help with lead generation.
Football coaching and team managers are another of our client groups. The League Managers & Coaches Association of Ireland were looking to launch a website that could be added to in the future, to feature club details and managerial background data. They praised our “Efficient and timely manner” when working on their website’s design.

Not forgetting leisure time, two clay pigeon shooting businesses have teamed up with our design services. Located in North Yorkshire, The Yearsley Shoot benefited from our web design knowledge to highlight the landscape’s diverse hillsides, grassland and other drives. This resulted in fulfilling the business’s expectations of more bookings and reviews.

Similarly, Lake District-based Black Grove Sporting hoped to make booking a shoot (alongside catering and gun hire) or amending their details a breeze. The booking systems we installed also removed the need for participants to call them, as well as issuing reminders.
3. Beauty and lifestyle industries
A feel-good treat for you or a loved one, many people enjoy treatments regularly or before a special occasion. Equally, lifestyle brands are creating new ways for their customers and clients to enjoy their lives for years to come.
How we have helped our beauty and lifestyle clients

Whether you are seeking a website that represents your services such as Susan Rennie Natural Permanent Makeup or would like to refresh an existing site as Borders Body & Mind requested, our web design experience extends to the beauty niche. And a site upgrade wasn’t the only way we helped Borders Body & Mind. We have also created business cards, price lists, a loyalty card beside posters, local ads and outdoor signage.

Within the lifestyle category, our design agency has delivered a stunning logo design for Green Mabel Interiors.

Taking the brand’s core values (natural and environmentally friendly) onboard, our branding services crafted a modern yet timeless circular design featuring elements of the world, including waves and nature’s way of carving out its destinations.

Bounding with energy, we were delighted to create the pawfect website for Rhiconich Beagles. Including plenty of adorable photos of these prize-winning dogs and their puppies, we troubleshooted an issue with a previous domain name and have helped them with hosting and emails.
4. Energy sector and utilities industry
An integral part of all our lives, the supply of energy and utilities cannot be taken for granted. However, brands want to stand out and the wealth of electrifying designs we can provide includes vehicle wraps, websites, complete rebrands, logo design, promotional materials and exhibition stands.
How we have helped our energy and utilities clients

BMM Energy Solutions is helping its customers drive the future as electric vehicle (EV) charging point installers. Thefingerprint created a powerful collaboration with this energy sector brand to craft their company logo, website and an assortment of printed materials.
We pride ourselves as a design agency on the recommendations we receive. When BMM Energy Solutions’ sister-company BMM Networks asked us to emphasise their renewable credentials, we jumped at the chance to design bespoke brand assets. Offering a flexible design layout that could be used across flyers, social media and a website, we chose to combine bold primary colours with a softer font to energise their marketing materials.

These two projects led to vehicle wraps, rebranding and a website for Utility Line. Its founder, Nick, was “very impressed with the level of work, how accurately we had met the brief and the way it positioned his business in the industry”. We think you will agree that the turquoise and white combo is crisp and professional.
5. Transport industry
A sector comprising of various strands, the transport industry caters to people’s needs with high-quality vehicles and precision engineering. Our design agency has collaborated with relevant businesses that include a local body repair shop, a global truck giant, as well as drive hire and van retailers.
How we have helped our transportation clients

Having a stellar logo for its launch was important for Gary’s Body Repair. This Falkirk-based repair body shop centres on knowing who has done the work on your vehicle and doing a great job. The logo’s proud owner, Gary, notes “I am absolutely delighted with the final result”.

To create a “professional” and “user-friendly” online platform for Mercedes-Benz Alltruck, we didn’t take our foot off the brake. Instead, we developed sleek visuals and layouts, an informative and responsive website design that features intuitive MOT booking systems alongside streamlined contact forms. This was optimised across different devices, so no customer needs to struggle to access its information and services.

With a shared DNA, the family-run business of Robinsons Hire Drive approached us for a responsive web design project following our custom work on its Vanz4Sale website. Extending the colours found across the owner’s other sites brought continuity. Updated photography and contact details were also added. This was prioritised alongside website responsiveness.
